First we started by heading to Cedar City on Thursday to go to the Summer Games and watch wrestling. Jim's assistant coach and two of the club team kids were wrestling in the games. We went in to Salt Lake to visit Grandma Selman for a little while.(She was having surgery and is now doing much better!) Then we headed to my parents house in Payson to drop our dogs off. We then headed on our 'Road Trip'. We told the kids we were going swimming at the hotel when we got there and I think they asked about it at least 50 times in the 3 and a half hours we were in the truck! But they actually did great! They are good when we go in the car, Addi just talks ALOT! We played the game "What am I?" It was a crack up! Jim decided he would go first. He said "I have a long beak and I have long colorful tail feathers, what am I?" Not missing a beat Addi yeld "Your a snipe!" For those of you who have seen the movie 'UP' that is where it came from. Of course Jim was describing a peacock, but that is not what Addi thought! We were laughing so hard! She kills me sometimes with the things she comes up with!
We finally got there and took the kids swimming. They had a great time but it did help me realize that ALL of them need swimming lessons!
We went to a really cool place on Friday called Park Discovery and here are a few pictures. The little blonde girl is our cousin Lily. Jim's sister and brother-in-law live in Parawon and came to visit with us while we were there.

Then we went back to watch some more wrestling at SUU. This is a picture of the kids watching a movie on Jim's laptop to kill some time. Wrestling tournaments lead to long days for little kids!

Also, some fun that Jim and I had while there. We have become good friends with the Phillips family. Jake is an assistant coach and their son Brady wrestles with Payt. So anyway, we got up Friday morning and went to the truck and they had messed with the windshield wipers. So that sent my mind thinking, if we do something, I am going to make it worth it. Let me tell you, IT WAS! Our room was right next to their truck and the reaction we heard made it all worth it! They were laughing histerically! We (Jim and I) waited till about 11:30pm and went out and decorated it like they had just gotten married! Here are a few pics:

It was great! We thought they would go to the carwash that morning, but when we got to the school, there was their car in the parking lot still decorated! I know, I'm a dork, but it was a great laugh! I am just a little worried about the retaliation!
Saturday after wrestling finished( our 4 wrestlers took home 1 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze, i think) we headed for Payson to pick up the dogs. Once bedtime came we loaded in the car again to head to Grandma Burtons house. On our way out of town we saw these and Payt freaked out!

OPTIMUS PRIME

AND RATCHET!
Payt was so excited! He asked "Is he going to Transform mom? I want to see him!" He is an all time transformer freak and this was so cool for him!
We finally got to Howell at 11:00 and fell quickly asleep! We woke up and Parker sat up, looked around and said, "Now we're at this house mom?!" It was super cute. We had yummy waffles and then went outside to play on the swingset.
Then we had a very scary moment a little while later. Grandma has a canal that runs down the back of their property but my kids have never known its there because they don't play back there. Well, today they found it. Their cousin Tyler (who is older) jumped acrossed it and went on the other side of the fence. So doing what kids do, my kids followed. They got to the canal and we are not sure how, but Parker fell in head first. None of us realized what had happened because we were busy chatting in the shade. I stood up and turned around and saw Addi and Payt, but no Parker. I took off running and then the kids were telling me Parker was all wet and yucky when I got closer. By the time I got to him he was trying to come up the hill to us and he was covered in gross, disgusting mud and yuck. It was caked everywhere, his hair, ears, mouth. I grabbed him and took off toward the house. I just keep thanking Heavenly Father everytime I think about it! That could have ended so much worse! The scariest thing about it is that there were 4 adults out there (including me!) and no one noticed what happend! But I am not thinking of the what-ifs because he is okay! I am worried though that he will get sick. That water is very, very dirty and I am for sure he swallowed some. He also had alot in his ears, so it might lead to an infection because he has tubes, but yet again, he is SAFE and OKAY! He also is pretty traumatized. It worries me. He fell asleep on the way home to Tooele and woke up saying "I fell in the big water! It was scary mom!" and a few times since he has told me again. Hopefully he will be okay with it soon. If you do have any ideas of what I might do to help him, please let me know! I could use some input:)
So other than ending on a somewhat scary note, our weekend was a fun vaction with the kids! They thought staying in the hotel was the coolest thing ever!
Now we are home (except for Payt and Chunk. They stayed at Grandma Burton's to go camping for the Burton Reunion) so that Jim can help with the High School football camp this coming week. Payt wanted to go camping until it was time for us to leave. He had a very hard time and was crying. We told him Chunk was staying too and he had to help take care of him. So we will see if he makes it the whole week. He has never stayed with them by himself before. He has always had Addi and Parker with him. Hopefully he will get up to the campground and forget about it because he is having fun playing and fishing! I will keep you posted! He really needs this, he is really attatched to me and this will be good for him (but I will be the first to say, it is already hard on me and it hasn't even been a day! It is much easier when they are not crying when you leave them!)
There ya go! Our week in a nutshell!
Oh those pics of Cedar make me miss it. WE used to take my nieces to that park all the time. Loved it.
