Disneyland Part 1

Okay! Here is a very large amount of pictures from our Disneyland Trip! We had tons of fun and I can't wait to go back in a few years!
Our two day road trip! Long, but the kids were great! Thank goodness Bugs let us borrow their two screen dvd player!

These are from the Santa Monica Pier. My brother travels a lot and so he wanted to take us all down there for the evening. It was awesome! Rainy and cold, but we didn't care. I wish it was earlier in the day so the kids could have seen the horizon line, but the waves were big because of the storm and the kids loved it!

After we were officially wet, my sister and her family along with us, decided to eat at Bubba Gumps. I really dislike shellfish (I had a kids menu chicken strips and fries) but this place was tons of fun. Our waiter was great and Jim enjoyed answering all the trivia questions about Forest Gump.

First day of Disneyland! The kids are waiting very patiently!

We found out when we got there that they were having a MardiGras celebration, so we had to get some beads!

Here is Braxton, Addi, Parker, and Cameron taking a breather!

This is one of the many pictures Payt took. Every chance he got he would take the camera and snap away.

One of our first stops was the Enchanted Tiki Room. The kids loved it so much we had to do it again a couple days later.

We also had to ride the Jungle Cruise a few times.

Some great poses of our crazy family:

And none other than the Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Then we finally saw the one and only MICKEY MOUSE!

Payt was AWESOME! He went on every single ride at least once! He went with Jim(Dad), Jennie(Cousin), Austin(cousin), and Paul(Uncle) on all of the roller coasters! This included the Tower of Terror, California Screamin' which he road at least ten times and said was his favorite, Space Mountain, and all the others!

One of Addi's favorite parts about the trip (besides the princesses) was getting her face painted. She wouldn't let me wash her face the rest of the trip even though by the third day it was pretty much gone!

Another highlight was visiting Pixie Hollow. They got to meet Tinker Bell and Iradessa.

This was our attempt at taking a picture in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

The newest ride in the Parks was Toy Story Mania. The boys loved this ride. Addi had to go potty right before our turn and so we missed out.

These next two pictures are classic! This was on the Farris Wheel, but not just an ordinary one. They put you in a cage and then your cage would drop on its own little track while you spun around in the big circle motion. First picture is Payt before the ride started. The second is after it began to move.

On Wednesday we got to celebrate Jim's 29th Birthday so we went to the Rain Forest Cafe. Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you!

Waiting for It's a Small World. This ride was pretty fun. They have added disney characters to the scenery and the kids had fun finding them around each turn.

Exhaustion Anyone? End of day 4

A couple pictures in front of Tom Sawyer Island

I think 5 days of Disneyland was a little too much for Parker!

There are a few of the many memories we made! I will add some more in a few days. I need to get them from some other cameras:) Disney Princess pictures with Addi will be on Part 2. Goodnight all!

Really?

Ok, so I am not so great at this blogging thing, but I promise to try harder! First of all, it has been 7 months since my last post. Once school started, my life began spinning! Here is a quick recap:
Payt started first grade and turned 7 in Oct. Addi and Roper(a boy I babysit) started preschool. And Parker started being more spoiled and feisty, if that's possible. Jim helped coach football, with a not so great season, but next year will be better when we move down to 3A. Then wrestling started and it went well. We actually had our banquet last Wednesday night and it was great! We had almost 80 people there!
The holidays were great and especially fun for me this year. We gave our kids a trip to Disneyland! We have never done a trip like this with our kids before, so I was totally ready! The hard part was the 49 day countdown until we left. We had to wait till wrestling season was done so Daddy could go with us. So we went from Feb. 18th-26th. 5 day Disneyland passes might have been a little too much... It was a lot of fun and it will have a separate post with pics. My parents, my sister and her family of 6, and my brother and his family of 4 went with us. It was a blast and my kids already want it to be 'Disneyland again'!
So in a nut shell, that has been the last several months.
We did get family pictures too! Here are a few for you all to see:)
This is the whole Burton Family, with the exception of the new addition Jaspur, who was born a couple months after.

And this one is our little family. I really like our matching attire! Yes, it was my idea!
